Jonathan Bash was born in Los Angeles, California. At the tender age of three years old, Jonathan always knew that he wanted to become a fashion designer. While watching his parents wedding video, he decided right then that he wanted to make every woman as beautiful as his mother, so he began to sketch designs in his children books. Jonathan attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California, where he decided to focus on his personal line. During that year the opportunity of a lifetime fell in his lap. He met socialite, Paris Hilton and she became his first client. Paris has been quoted saying “...I was amazed by how incredibly talented he was.” Since then he has designed for numerous celebrities and the list continues to grow. While couture is one of his passions, Jonathan Bash has focused on creating a line for the everyday woman. The line will be available to all women that are ready to experience a Jonathan Bash design. His repertoire of designs will only continue to amaze his fans and leave them wanting more. Only 23 years old, Jonathan Bash “will be a force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry,” as stated by socialite and business mogul Ivanka Trump. “He has tremendous talent. His collection is youthful, timeless and elegant. His bold designs are going to take him places.” Jonathan Bash debuted his first collection at Neiman Marcus for Spring/ Summer 2011.
Jonathan Bash hopes to use his business to positively impact women of all ages and lifestyles, whether by making them feel beautiful on the outside with his clothing or by utilizing his talent to raise funds and awareness for worthwhile causes. “Every woman should be able to feel beautiful, and my dresses are designed to do just that.” Jonathan Bash is inspired by the belief that women should embrace being a woman and being able to feel feminine and elegant. A lot of designers are going more masculine in their collections these days and Jonathan Bash’s collection presents an exquisite alternative for the woman seeking a softer look. He wants a woman to feel confident and comfortable in what she is wearing. His collection uses silk charmeuse and chiffon fabrics that are lightweight, beautiful, and embrace a woman’s body in a way that is flattering to her figure.
